I'm thinking about buying a used fixed wing DX7 for a pretty good price.
What are the differences between the two DX7 versions and will it make a difference when flying a heli?
I'm just getting into this hobby. I'm thinking about getting a trex 450.
Thanks for your time!

The only difference between the two is the location of the gear and idle up/flap switches.
On the Air version the gear switch is on the top left and the idle up/flap switch is on the front (second from the left). The heli version is the opposite.

On the heli version it has a smooth (as it were) throttle. In the spare parts bag is an extra strap (ratchets) if you wish to use that for airplanes.

Thanks guys. I bought the DX7 and am happily plugged into PhoenixRC. I don't have a heli yet, but I wanted to give the sim a try. Thanks also for the hint about the throttle, I just replaced that metal piece and it smooths out the action a little.
Thanks again.
