Align Lipo Pack and Flightpower V Balancer

Hello all
I have just bought 450 SE V2 including an align 22c lipo. All my exisiting packs are flightpower and I use the flightpower v-balancer.
My lhs is telling me I can use the v balancer on the align pack as one of the leads will fit.
I have all the leads (old and new connectors) for the balancer and as far as I can see none fit.
Am i being stupid??? Please someone help!

No you're not being stupid - the connecting of balancers and packs continues to bug even the experienced. There is a specific lead made for 3S and 4S packs by FP but your LHS is correct, the pin spacing of Align and the V-Balancer is the same and it will fit in although the little ridge on the plug won't align up with the slot in the VB - just make sure that the negative end of your balance lead from your pack goes into the negative end of the V-Bal;ancer as per photo

Aaaah, that explains it. Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Will I need to open up the connector on balance lead?

Don't see why you should - suck it and see - the V-Balancer is great - lets you know if its working OK by counting through cells found and then displaying charge
