After only 5 flights my Thunder Tiger engine have broken in fly. The consequence is .... a superb crash. My Raptor was completely exploded include the 6S Lipo. It was realy a good day for the trash.

I have send an email to the division of Thunder Tiger Europe and send by post the engine, at this time i have no response.

After a week, i buy an other Raptor e 550 but for the engine i have choose a Z- power 1100.

Did anyone have a problem with this electric engine (OBL 43/11) or it is an unique case ?

Did the end bell come off in flight?
How is that held on? Screw on or glue on?

Hmmm I might have to keep on eye on that myself.

In flight I heard a noise and have zero power. It is the central pieces of the engine that was broken. The bell don't move in flight.

I post a picture of the bell after crash.

Mine makes quite a squealing sound in the air so this has been at the back of my mind. This motor is a Z Power Z30-1100, just badged for TT, same as the Century 600+, the motor to get is the Z30A-1100 from TP Packs which is the same basic motor but slightly redesigned to be more efficient and run cooler. Early Z30-1100's had problems with failure in the same area thats caused you trouble but I thought this was sorted out.

I do remember the old Z-power (red) having a similar issue if Im not mistaken. I will be trying a Neu 1910/1Y/H in that heli which I think will end up being a winner.

My new raptor 550 e have a Z-power 1100. I test it today and tell you if he have the same problem ( :arggg: )
The TT division Europe said that they never seen a broken engine like that. They tell me that it is impossible in 6s setup.
I don't made 3 D but only soft flight and rapid translations plus somme loopings.
And more I never used the full trottle on my first raptor !!!

On my Trex 600, I never have any problem with the engine even after 100 flights.
