I have been reading about this unit and was wondering does anyone know a place to purchase it in the US states?
Is it a stand alone unit that plugs inline with the receiver and servos?

Also it is compatible with futabe radios right? I will be using the 7chp for now to try it out. then probably go with 9 channel radio later. IF not is there something else that will work to help stabilize the heli in hover. hovering is not a problem but I think it will be at higher altitudes.

I just purchased a second trex600 to try my hand at some arial videos and pictures and thought that some sort of stabilizer system would help out.

Any info on it and how it operates would be appreciated. Any reccomendations?

thanks in advance.

We're out of stock at the moment. More will be here by the end of the month.

Just got a Trex 600 myself and I'll likely put a system on it when I have some in. With as well as this heli flies, I'm sure it's going to be awesome with an AP2000i.

Also, the AP2000i works with all radio systems. You will have more flexibility with your setup if you get the 9C but it will certainly work with a 7C.

Ive used an infrared stabilization system before and I felt it was terrible . Instead I just learned how to fly properly without the assistance .

Congratulations. However, it is not intended for those that can not fly. And who says we can't fly without 'assistance'? :D

Clearly you haven't flown AP at a professional level or you wouldn't have put it that way.

I've been flying heli's since the 80's (had a Mantis back in '85 or so) and currently I have an AP2000i on every AP/AV ship I own.

When you're trying to look at a monitor, compose a shot, all while flying 500'+ AGL and/or over 200yds+ away laterally you CANNOT do it manually unless you are a savant.

anyone can fly properly at 25' up including myself, but can you hover it smoothly at say 150 to 200' and hold it there for a length of time? It gets fairly difficult to tell orientation at those heights..Especially if you are level or not. At least for me anyways.. :)

I am new to the arial photo stuff so I wont be hitting the 500' mark that N74DV does, WOW....I dont think I would be able to see the heli. that far up...

Thanks Mark, I will keep checking for availability
