Here's the link. kindly provided by Charley, for the Rotorworkz 600 Nitro frame assembly (http://rotorworkz.com/600nassembly.html) - I received these in the post today and though I'd do a one off video on their assembly to point out the enhancements over the stock frames

Posted videos of the Rotorworkz T600 Nitro replacement frames - not a whole lot different from the Align variety but precisely cut (everything lines up !!) and a few nice touches like blind nuts for servo mounting, gyro tape slot, reinforcing strut beneath engine bay, break-away canopy mounts and included servo plate for a mixer servo. Really worth considering if you need new frames or want to do an E to N conversion.

Should be fixed ;) - had to rush out to LHS for a couple of servos save ripping the guts out the old E - rather than swapping an E for an N looks like I'm heading for FOUR T600s :arggg: - any advice on divorcing old helis ? Anyway had to use up that Kasama Head on something - incidentally didn't realise Kasama built in Bangkok so may have to get the wife to ring up and talk Thai speke for a factory visit next time we're over there :)

Did a quick calculation on the Helidirect website (http://www.helidirect.com/)to find the cost of extra parts needed to change E to N and that comes out with G10 frames to US$323 - so not a huge saving for re-using your rotor head and tail assembly as the HD price on the GF kit is $399 - but it would provide a customised kit with a few of the nice touches of the RW frames - maybe someone will come up with a deal for the whole kit and caboodle !!http://www.helidirect.com/images/pixel_trans.gif

New video on the Neu 1910/1Y/H (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=mercuriell&filename=1910.wmv) - brief intro on a motor with failing bearing then my steps taken to disassemble the motor and replace the bearings. On the Neu 1910/1Y/H these were flanged bearings F625ZZ (http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.aspx?p=product&id=9459&n=MF625-ZZ)- on the 1910/1Y/F they are smaller diameter (?? SMR115ZZ - 11x5x4).
If anyone has information on bearing sizes and types for other Neu motors it would be good to publish them here for reference.

You said the 1515 has the same bearings? Is that the 1515/2.5D/F/H?
Mine have always had that whine you show at the beginning of the video...
EXCELLENT video! Thanks for the effort.
Those blue towels sure look familiar ;)

Hi John - my 1515/2.5D/F has SMR115 (http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.aspx?p=product&id=2323&n=SMR115-ZZ_#5) bearings (11x5x4) - these looked to be the same as on my 1910/1Y/F but without disassembling it I can't say for sure (it's a new motor so I hope not to do that just yet!) - they are pretty small bearings and I heard rumour that Neutronics were upsizing them on some of their motors.
The bearing sound is subtle and maybe doesn't come across so well on the video but is a harsh ringing sound rather than the whine of the motor fan and seems more prominent at certain revs - took me a couple of flights before I cottoned onto what it was. I think that the abrasions in the CF of the stator were probably caused by increased inner race radial play of the bottom (pinion side) bearing.
Blue towels certainly handy - great for cleaning up nitros or windscreens too ! - amazing (disgusting) they're single use!

Never used that cage so sorry cant tell you.... I am curious though why the Align cage is not good enough? Mine seems just fine to me.

By special request put up video (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=mercuriell&filename=OS50.wmv) on bearing change on the OS Hyper - quite a lot of corrosion made removing the sleeve and conrod a PIA - anyway hope you enjoy

How do you know if your piston ring move during Installation of the Sleeve?

How do you know if your piston ring move during Installation of the Sleeve?
If you put the sleeve on with the roll pin in the piston groove facing you you can see the ring close up around the pin as it gets compressed in which case it cannot move - incidentally came across some excellent articles on OS tear down from Audacity Models (http://www.audacitymodels.com/whitepapers/)which are well worth a read.

Just got a Raptor 50 and about to buy a Os 50 Hyper engine to go in it, your bearing replacement video has put my mind at ease. Having never had a nitro bird before I don't know a thing about the engines or the kind of repairs or maintainance they require, this has made the whole thing seem a lot less daunting. Now all I have to do is find the idiots guide to adjusting the carb, all i know is lots of smoke means cool engine, no smoke means fried engine pretty soon !!!!
Thanks for the great video,
Mike.
