Managed to take my IntrepidEB down to Utah for 3 days of lessons with Gary Travis. I thought who better to get training from than a Bergen rep? The trip was 1300 km one way. Not only was it worth every km but worth every dollar as well. I convinced a buddy who flies another type gasser to come and he also found the trip to be as worthy and fun as I did. All said & done we're a couple of happy Canadians...eh.

I was already 100% happy with the EB but after Gary gave it a tweak here and there and pointed out a thing or two I was in awe. Crisp, smooth power. Freakin stump puller!! Awsome. that's all I can say. Got to see the Intrepid Turbine in action as well. :Bang

From removal of training gear  to higher hover maneuvering(relatively speaking) to circuits. It certainly helped break a few barriers. If anyone is at the same flying skill level (novice) I highly recommend the lessons. As much as confidence was built, It certainly humbled both of us. That is the good thing about this hobby. The learning and building of skills never ends.

While there, Gary impressed us with some smooth maneuvering and a grand finale un-planned Auto that saved the day. My buddy is still smiling at that one! I posted that in the AP section. Total fluke that I was filming it.

If you don't have a Bergen but you're considering, then consider no more. You won't regret it. Gary's technical assistance and endless help are no different than the rest of the Bergen reps. Always hanging in the forum shadows ready to help and always standing behind the Bergen product. The term"Going the extra mile" comes into play here.

If all goes well I/We may make another trip at the end of the summer or in the fall. Who know's, maybe with two Bergen Intrepid EB's. Til then...Burnin turnin & learnin.

Rob.
