Hello,
this is my first post here, so first of all hi to everyone this is a
great help here. (And sorry for my english, I'm not a native speaker)
I'm new in heli-hobby and go for the electric powered (T-Rex 450 and
Lama SA 315 with e-set and a Futaba ff9 super.

I bought a Digital Super Charger SM-5500A here:
http://www.anyrc.com/product_html/product_detail.asp?product_number=1244
but I get always a error: #1 'Voltage Error or wrong Polarity' -
Description in Manual 'Output voltage or wrong Polarity'
Observation in Manual 'Check polarity and cell count'
[edit]
The Charger looks exactly like the one from ThundePower (1010C) what as I read on the cover is also made in Korea.
http://www.rctoys.com/rc-toys-and-p...CERS-POWER.html
[edit]
The polarity is (in my humble opinion) right. (Red to red and black to
black).
Cell count is no option where I can set this in the NiMh charge setup
only in the LiPo charge setup (btw, charging LiPo's is working with out
a problem.)

I follow exactly the manual.
The only thing is, that in the manual is written that when you power up
the charger the LCD-screen will display:
'Pro-Rex Power LAB' 'SM-5500A V7.0'
My Carger show when I power up on the LCD-sreen:
'LC 101 V7.1'

[edit]
is it possible that the 8 cell pack now is to low in V and damage?
[edit]

I put some smal pic. of the manual to the post here.

Is here may someone (who have the same Charger and) can explain me how I
can charge the NiMh Accu's for the FF9:
(Robbe NiHm Accu 8-2000AA 9,6V
2000mAh, charge 14-16h/200mA ; max 2.0A)
and for the receiver:
Graupner NiMh 4N-2000AA RX 4.8V 2.0AH ; charge max: 2A

If yes, than pleas so that a non electrician also can understand it ;)

Thanks a lot,
Uwe.

Hi,
I bought now a other charger. One with AC--DC for Futaba TX and RX.
With this I could charge the Limh-Akkus without problem.
2 questions:
The charger load with 150mA and have no auto cut-off and I musst plug
in directly in the FF9.
How long can need I charge.
After 1 hour when I measure with a multi-meter the V is over 11V but
the accu have only 9.6V, is this OK.
And how can I now discharge? I read that with Nihm Accu's I have to do
this properly/probably in cycles.

And a quick one to the end. How long should the accu with switched on
transmitter last before by 8.4V he starts to pieping?

Thanks

Hi guy's,
sorry but I really need help.
I asked here, but I didn't get response.
The Charger looks exactly like and according to suplier simmular to
the one from ThundePower (1010C) both made in Korea from same company.
http://www.rctoys.com/rc-toys-and-p...CERS-POWER.html
I wrote to the supplier of the charger 'Digital Super Charger SM-5500A'
and asked why I can't charge NiMh batteries packs and he told me to
send it in. (But I live in Dubai and this take probably weeks)
Is here no one who is so nice to explain me how I have to setup so
that it will work?

Thanks a lot.
