GV1 & 14MZ

Hi,

Need some help setting up my gv1 and 14mz, I have read a few posts on it and about it on Eric Larson's site but I am still stuck :oops:

I am using a H1 swash so does my Aux from the gv1 go to ch7 ?

I want to have switch F turn the gv1 on/off for tuning engine, so when the switch is back it will be on and if I need to turn off the governor for any reason I can pull switch F torwards me. Don't know how to set this bit up.

Can I 3 headspeeds in Normal mode eg 1450, 1550, 1650 ? and I would like 1850 in idle up 1 and 1950 in idle up 2.

Can anyone guide me through setting up the above, please :dontknow

:woohoo Think I have sorted it out so if anyone wants to know how or don't mind just checking my setting this is how I set it up.

Usual connections,

Throttle servo to Throttle on the GV1
Aux on/off on GV1 to ch8
Aux rpm on GV1 to ch7

Linkage menu,

7 Governor Control NULL
8 Governor2 Control SW-F

Servo Reverse 8 Governor2 REV

Model Menu, Governor

Normal mode

Rate 1 ON 45% SW-B Sngl
Rate 2 OFF 55% SW-B Sngl
Rate 3 OFF 65% SW-B Sngl

Idle Up 1

Rate 1 ON 85% SW NULL Sngl
Rate 2 OFF 55% SW NULL Gr
Rate 3 same as 2

Idle Up 2

Rate 1 ON 95% SW NULL Sngl
Rate 2 same as Rate 2 on Idle Up 1
Rate 3 same as above

Hold

Rate 1 INH
same for Rate 2 & 3

I also did this 'Now go to your governor and select the rpm setting screen and push the top 2000 button on the 14MZ in the “Set GOV” section on the governor screen. You need to push the +/- buttons on the GV-1 until it reads 2000. Do the same for the 1500rpm and 1000rpm buttons and the GV-1 will be calibrated. Any rpm you now set in the Rate on the 14MZ governor menu will now be set in the GV-1.' from Eric Larson's site

Checked on the GV1 under SWCD to make sure governor is switching on and off in flight modes, Hold and the on/off switch was working, seems to all be doing what it should :clappp
