I knew we needed our own forum so that is why I asked Will to set it up. Make sure you PM him on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page with some thanks guys. Also if you see a thread elsewhere which should be moved to this forum let him know through the same link.

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but may I suggest that there be a "Helicommand" forum with HC-3A and HC3-SX, etc, as subforums?

Yes, that would be my wish and recommendation too. Hope some admin will read this. Maybe the top of the forum named something like "HeliCommand system" or something like this, that includes all systems, FBL and beginner stuff.

Thanks,
Joachim

I am thrilled too... I'll post a quick question...
When setting up gyro sensitivity I can use a switch on my transmitter (no slider option) to change between say 60 and 70? Right? JR 9303. Then when it is right... I can leave tail sensitivity set and move on to head sensitivity?
Thanks
Wags

I have asked Will to revise the forum to a heading Helicommand with subforums for X series and M series. X then covers all the FBL units and M covers all the 3A, 3B and Rigid. I did not ask for a separate subforum for the P series as I thought these are rather specialisted, however if necessary Will might be able to add it. It's up to Will and the moderators as to whether they can do the change.

I have not had too much time to play with the new firmware but from what I understand it is now possible to use both ends of the 3 position switch for your head gain. This is separate from your tail gain. This will only work from you are in Rigid mode, on the Horizon page.

I would not recommend setting your gain like that. I would recommend just slowly increasing the gain (land in between) until your machine starts to bobble on sharp stick impulses. Now lower the gain until it stops, this allows you to run the highest gain possible with your system. This plays a large part in how locked in the machine feels, and guys who fail to get their head gain set correctly will have quite the mooshy system.

Setting the tail gain follows the same procedure that any other tail gyro would.

Hi Rob,

I am at the point where I have the head set on my DX8 rotary switch and can adjust the gain from seemingly zero to 100%. It appears to get twitchy if I go much above 70%. So, If I understand the manual correctly, I take that number and enter it into the Rigid Menu, then I can set up the Horiz. application - is that correct? Please advise. Also, what would you recommend for "switching"? Thanks very much. JH

ps - here's a photo of the heli the HC3SX is mounted in. As you can see, the wiring, etc., is done, but I'm still getting it dialed in. Once that's done, and I've got the Horiz. self-leveling working, I'm going to finish all the scale details. Can't wait.

Bringing this back into some admins mind probably ?! Would be great to get all HC users together at one spot. Makes it a lot easier to help.

Thanks,
Joachim

The only way Will (admin) will find out is if you PM him direct. Go to the bottom of the page and use the "Contact us" link. See my post above as to what I suggested to Will.

And thanks to Will....ultrafast response and implementation of our request :clap
No subforums yet, as there are barely few M-series threads here. If there will be more in the future, we may change this again.

Thanks again to Will :noteworthy
