Well point "J " is not a success friends, I got red not bleu. I get bleu at 6.9 degres
but I don't want 6.9. Included are a couple of pics of the servo horns and links.
Any advice...

Sly,

I moved the ball in on the servo arm one hole to get the V-Bar set correctly.

I should think that would work on your machine, sir.

Your pushrod will no longer be at 90 degrees to the servo arm though.

I don't run a BeastX, but I do believe you need to move the balls in quite a bit on the servo horn.

Oops, Ah Clem beat me to it.

Or space the outer balls on the swash.
If you move the ball in one hole and find you get uneven collective range you can correct mechanically by rotating your horns 1 spline in the appropriate direction.
Or cheat and tune it out in radio setup.

The one hole in worked for me (on a Skookum, but same idea).

Its been a very long day, it'll give me something to fiddle with tomorow.
Thank you kindly folks. :noteworthy

About 15.5 mm on the servo horn and I did not place the servo horn level in reference to the main shaft... but perpendicular to the pushrod...

I saw Sebastian Zajonez fy his 5.5 at IRCHA last year. When I saw that his servo ball was not at 15.5mm I asked how he could get a blue light at those settings. He said "The blue light is not that important. Red will be fine just make sure to set it at exactly 6 degrees" Then he flew the following flight with it.

There you go !

We drill holes at about 15 mm, and we get blue at 6,1 degrees.
The links aren't perpendicular anymore, but this seems to be no problem. The heli's fly very good.

I did the same when I converted my old 500 to fbl. Worked great.

Apparently its the thing to do, pushed the ball back 1 hole and bleu appeared, magic !
Of course the swash looks like its on crutches, :rotf, but if it flies, that's most important.

You could put the servo arm in a different position on the spline to get 90 degress between rod and arm. Will not be aligned with the servo case any more but the geometry would be the same for pos and neg pitch...

Thanks, but I think I'll leave them as they are now,
efficiency is better than prettyness, lol

And tonite boys and girls, we'll look at point " H " and behond.

Actually Sly the other way would be correct and not as pretty.
Is you Coll range even top & bottom?

Sorry but what is "coll range", remember I'm a french speaking dude.

Collective range, +13 High stick and -13 Low

Oh,
I'm chicken so I set it at +11 -11, is that ok ?

TallPaul, I learned english on the streets when I was a kid, so now at 57 I kinda lost the flow of it all. I have to sometimes translate what I want to say or the info I'm given, let say like to program a FBL system, not always easy.

Point " M " : when I tilt the heli to the front, the swash leans either to one side or the other first (depending on the colour) then tilts to the back and sets back horizontally even if the heli is still tilted to the front. I tried all colours the swash goes through the motions and sets back, it does not compensate. In all directions.

And on point " L " it can't do better than purple otherwise the pin on the elevater servo hits the top of the swashplate guide, big time.

+11/-11 is ok, better stick resolution if it's all you need.
The manual says 26* total pitch so 13 each way is available.

I had 10 both ways when the heli was FB both the heli and I where happy. So to have +11 -11 is stretching it a bit. Will see.

I'm sad, very sad.....in theory i'm finished progamming the FBL system, except for M and L wanting on feedback, most of the other parameters are set on default since my flight experience is limited i'll leave at that for now. And I set the tail gain in rate mode to lift the heli in a hover and ajust the tail link to make sure it is (tail-rod) set right. Other than that...i'm finished, what's worst is that we're only in december, I have to wait more or less 4 months to get some decent weather. :bawl:bawl:bawl
Maybe i'll take the whole thing apart and build it up again, just to pass the time. I may be crazy enough to do it, you know. :rotf
