Hi,
I am trying to set up a TJ Pro on my 14mz but using a 149rx, I have changed all the normal servo connections over to how it defaults in the 14mz.
I used ch7 for my Aux and selected switch A but it won't calibrate, if I go to servo monitor and toggle switch A ch7 does nothing ???
If I use ch8 it works, so why won't it with ch7
I know I have to use either ch 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, or 12 when using G3 rx.
Simon.

If the servo monitor does not show anything when you hit the switch then you set something up wrong in the TX.
Try redoing the switch assignment in the TX.
I use a TJ pro with my 14.
There are two channel groups with the 14, tone group is channels 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 13, the other group is channels 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
The Throttle and the speed set channel must be in different groups.
Since you have the throttle on CH1, you are correct that the AUX to control speed must be on ch 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, or 12.
If the aux is in the same group as the throttle it will not work. You said that you are using aux on ch 7, this will not work.

Ok cheers,
So even if I put all the servo connections back to the normal way it still won't work because throttle would then be ch3 which is still in the same group as ch7 or 8 ?
I don't have ch 10, 11 or 12as it's only a 149rx
When I got it to calibrate using ch8 I could not get the light to stay off with a 50% rate ?

MY fault I missed that you were using a 149 RX, I thought you were using the G3.
There are no channel groupings for the 149 RX so it does not matter what channels the gov is plugged into. It should still work.
What I had to do to calibrate was to assign the channel that is controlling the speed to a switch that is only a 2 position switch. The TJ gets confused when it sees 3 positions and is expecting 2, at least mine did. after you calibrate you can then reassign the aux back to your switch of choice.
If you go to http://www.modelavionics.com/Jockey/RadioTips/FUTABA_14MZ.htm for 14MZ specific instructions.
