View Full Version : Prdator: Missing Metal A-Arm

I bought a Predator Carbon SE Gasser from Rick's about a year ago and just started to put it together this weekend. I'm missing the metal A-Arm upgrade. It has the plastic A-Arm though.
I sent an e-mail to Rick's to see what (if anything) they will do about it. But it's holding up the build while I wait. Is the metal A-Arm still a recommended (read required) upgrade?

The original plastic A-Arm was changed to a more heavy duty version a LONG time ago.
At the time they showed a picture of it supporting a 30 or 40 pound anvil, so I would think it would have no problem in its' current application.
I built my gasser two years ago and it had the later H/D plastic A-Arm - have been flying it (3D) ever since with no problem.

I would not fly that heli without one.
Even the new one in plastic I have seen fail. Not as often as the old one but it does fail especialy on the gasser with the weight and if you push it around hard.
The metal should have been made a stock item years ago.
