I'm ready for an upgrade, these two heli's seem to come recommended and seem to do similar things, my requirements are something I can fly indoors and outside, easy to fly (I can fly FP fine now) and easy to fix. Can't afford a t-rex just yet so I want a stepping stone that'll build my skills.

So what would you recommend? What are the pros/cons of each model over each other?

Hello Ken,

I am in about the same position as you are. I purchased an HDX 450 kit, and do not want to finish building it till I feel like I can fly it without breaking or bending expensive CNC pcs. every week or so.

While I have not flown the CP2 I am told it is on level with the VNR3D which I have flown.

I recently purchased the King 2 and could not be more pleased. It is much easier to fly than the non-belt drive 300 sized helis and has a similar feeling of stability in hovering as my friends HDX450.

I have not yet dinged it and it seem like my skills will grow much faster with this bird than the tail motor helis with 4 in 1's and 3 in 1's. The radio is very limited but that can be changed. I was looking at both the Blade CP and the HoneyBee Cool, and was told by a Hobby shop heli fellow that the King 2 had ironed out some problems in those 2 craft as well as the previous King version.

If you shop around you can find them full up RTF and cheap. I got mine through EBAY for $128 plus shipping, and saw one for $125 plus shipping a few days later. It is also sold in kit form.

Good luck with your decision.

Yeah that's about right. $165 w/ shipping from Texas. Included the 8 double AA's, Radio, and Lipo. His price has gone up now.

$139 + shipping which was $35.

I Want to set it up for my computer radio, but I am afraid I will wreck it with trial and error. Iv'e only used it for planes so far, and I could not get it to work with a Walkera 22E.

Odd thing though, the Walkera radio ran the King 2 though on a very different frequency.

Well ... How do you like it? :woohoo

Rchelicoptershop.com has them for $129 but I don't know how much shippng would be.
