killed another set of tail motors on my pro, less that a month old.
only hover around the yard. can hear the tail motor speed up and slow down, is this the gyro trying to keep the tail steady? running a 3s1250 lipo
why im i burning out tail motors so fast? will dd tail last longer?
help damm tire of changing tail motors-running to tail motors and i change both out at same time.

if you want reliability brushless tail. dd will prolly last last longer then stock. but they will eventually go out. ive heard of them going out after 20 minutes of hovering. ive heard of some lasting months.

I have the dual tail motor mount using stock eflite tail motors and am still going strong after 20 flights (~3.3 hours). Some pretty hard FFF on them too lately. Occasionally the tail will get lost for a second or two then regain control. I'm thinking I am pushing the limit of this low RPM setup now.
I used a AA battery to break each of them in for about an hour before use.

i can say ive never broke in my tail motors. stock or gws dd motors.put a esc on the tail and do away with the 3n1 i bet you would get even better performance and longer life..

when I was running the dual tail motors I never had one go out on me in the 6 or so months I used em. I used the G90 at about 80% and the 3in1 at about 30%. Ended up getting rid of that for the belt mod.
Perhaps you have your gyro running your tail too hard or maybe your starting in grass and loading the motors or something like that. I know people here have endless tail motor issues. I am one of very few people who never had a motor burn out on a CPP.
