I'm buying a Raptor .60 to fly for fun and attach a camera mount to it for some side work.
side work will hopefully lead to regular work and let me justify upgrading to designated AP gasser.
I've heard there's too much oil and exhaust flying out of a nitro heli making it not worth while even attempting to take pictures...thoughts??????
Thanks,
Will Kruger

You will have problems with exhaust. Some guys run long exhaust pipe extensions to divert the exhaust from the camera however I found the exhaust seemed to find it's way into the picture. Have you thought about electric?

there's no way i can trust myself with a 300 dollar LiPo battery pack...my ADD kicks into high gear waiting for my Blade CX to charge (and those batteries are only 25 dollars!) :)
i'm still a relatively new pilot too, so i was looking for affordable parts when the inevitable happens...$10 dollar blades from HeliProz!!!

anyone else have any experience with re-routing the exhaust?

Use a123 battery's and they will last longer than the Heli and you can charge them in less than 20mins.
We get the 10s1p 2300mah cells from one $100 36 Dewalt pack. I run two in parallel on my joker and old eRaptor with 10min flight times with a AUW of 15lbs.
PM for more details if needed.

I have been doing AP with my Gohbee Stinger 50 and have had good results. Check out my website for pics and look at my equipment pictures to see the exhaust extension. I picked up the extension from my local hobby shop.
