Has anyone tried to put the 401 inside the chassis, instead of on top of the heli. I had the 401 get hit by the flybar paddles and wonder if this will work. There is plenty of room in the Heli chassis to do this, you just would have trouble accessing the settings on the gyro.
I usually set the gyro up and once this is done its good, so this is not too much of a problem...

I assume you are talking about the Mini Titan?
You can run it inside the frames. It was a pain to set up because I could barely get to the pots inside the frames. I took it out and mounted it on top. Once it was set up I removed it and mounted it inside between the frames. Worked great

Mines on the the inside.
It is a bit difficult to adjust but not impossible.
But it is so safe inside the frame, why wouldn't you have it there !!!!
I took my previous gyro out in a crash, that hurts!!!
Cheers,

Its no problem. Adjustment of delay(non DS) and limit is unobstructed if you line up gyro at the rear end of the tray.

I did the same thing and I do not want to pay to get it fixed everytime something goes wrong. Waiting for the gyro to come back from Futaba and I will be ready to go agian.

My CSM fits nicely inside the frame. Setup is all electronic, from the TX, so very cool!
