I know everyone is saying why don’t you get a brushed ESC. Well point me in that direction for a Brushed ESC 30 amp and that will solve my problem. What I am wanting to make is a RC lawnmower. Yes I have an idea and a old electric wheel chair (bad seat, bad controller and bad batteries). Well what I was wanting to do is to take the two brushed motors and the two back tires and mount it on a frame with the two front tires that are on the chair on the frame, then mount the deck to the lawnmower to the frame and be able to adjust it some how. Then I wanted to get two ESC and control both motors separately, that way I will have forward reverse left and right, like a tank. I will also need to know how I should set up my 9303 and RX to work with this if anyone happen to know how to (I have not got there quite yet but would love to know that the information is out there). I am thinking that is just about it. Hook up a deep cell 12v battery or two small batteries for 24v if it needs it and then hook the two ESC’s to my RX and then to each motor, program my radio and then pull start the lawnmower. Please let me know if I am missing something BIG please. I know that people out there have done this and it is an easy project. Well I would like to make this one of my projects and would like to do it pretty cheep also. I have seen the ESC controller for around 250.00+ and I know that I could get two 30amp Brushless ESC for 50.00 plus shipping. I will have to add heat syncs, but that is no big deal. If all goes well I will be making a deck after everything is done just to make it “look” better. I like the check plate look and well I would have to make that and I don’t have a problem with it as long as I can get everything else. So if you know of a web site about this topic or if you know that a brushless ESC will work on a brushed motor please feel free to let me know. I know that a brushed ESC will not work with a brushless motor. But for some reason I am thinking that it will work the other way around.

It is simply not possible. Brushless ESCs essentially are putting out 3 phase AC. Brushed motors run on DC and rotated the phases internally. Utterly different requirements.

I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT ANSWER!I have been needing that information and didnt even know it. I am trying to help a friend put together an electric car and he does have a 3phase electric motor for the car and well a light just came on over my head and well I THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR RESPONDING! No joke thanks. Well if any one might happen to know where to get a resonable priced controller for a 3phase 15hp motor (I have the specs) please point me in the right direction. I thank you again.

I would start with the motor's manufacturer for advice on the controller.
