I just got the Mini Titan and would like to know if I should do any mods. right away. I've heard that some change the ball links to the bigger T-Rex ball links. What do I need to do this mod? There are some bling available, what would be the first thing to get. Washout base? Blade grips?
I will start with the stock motor and ESC. I want to try the Futaba S3154 on the swash and I will have the 401/9650 on the tail. Will I need a UBEC with the digital servos on the swash? What voltage? And by the way, what is the voltage on the BEC in the ESC.

Alot of questions. Do you have the answers???

I am looking forward to compare this bird with my Dragonus Elite which is a terrific bird.

The heli flys great out of the box. I see no reason to change the ball links. If anything I would wait for the metal head parts to start showing up.

The stock motor and esc are good, if you are going to make it a hard 3d bird I would think about another motor like the Neu. These heli motors are making excellent power and staying very cool with the new fan design.

I've changed the undercarriage to that of the t-rex 450. I found that the mini titan was a little top heavy for my liking, it just helps bring the center of gravity down a bit. It also makes that gap between the bottom of the tail fin a bit smaller.

I've also bought the carbon tain fin as I broke 2 plastic ones in my first few flights. One of them jammed in the tail rotor and stripped the tail drive.

I've put a set of vinyl graphics on aswell

Yes, it is probably a good idea to change the tail fin. Would the gorilla gear fit the MT?

Yeah shure does.

You will have to drill the holes new on one side, they are just a bit to near together to be screwed into the MT, but with 5 minutes time and 2 new holes, they work find, landed it hard approx 8 times today, noting happend.

AND: It looks waaay cooler then that funny original White landingskid

Hi doeni
Can I ask a simple question may sound silly, I just bought the titan and wanted to know when you give full collective the swashplate goes down and the pitch increased to whatever you set it . ie (-2, +6, +10) so my question is the swashplate meant to go down when given full collective.....unlike other helis where you give the full collective and the swashplate goes up.... :(

Many thanks

Yes, this is correct, swash down for pitch up.

Yap, its a bit of a strange thing, and i donīt quite understand why they had to build it like that (perhaps trying to be reeeeaally special) but yes, full collective means swash goes down...

doeni,

Is there a set of gorilla gear for the Titan or do you just by the Trex ones ? I'm guessing as you has to drill the holes, it is probably the Trex ?

Cheers

Yes, exactly.
I took the Neon Yellow ones, for that aspect, that its easier to see when landing/starting from the field, Neon Green wouldnīt have enough contrast i think and black looks boring i think

I haven't changed anything. I fly it right out of the box and it handles very well. I am waiting for the metal parts though...

Glue the inner most blade grip berring in with 30 minutes epoxy. Let it cure over night. This will cut out the chicken dance some report.

Yeah, the only anoying thing is, that the stabilizer-fin is now nearly to long....
The Gorilla Gear is not as high as the normal Gear and so the Fin is nearly down to the Ground, with the Gorilla gear just standing normally. Donīt know what i will do against that, still deciding and hoping i will find some cool CNC fin.

Has anyone jet tried the G-Force head? And i am looking forward to seeing the Kasama Head in action...

I will be waiting on the Kasama head. Sweet!

I know G-Force makes really nice stuff too but they don't have mixing arms and grips.... The weakest part on this head.

Regarding the CNC carbon fiber tail fin, you can buy it today from:
http://www.infinity-hobby.com/main/product_info.php?cPath=32_102&products_id=1607

Regarding the height of the Gorilla gear, you can always add a 10 millimeters (0.3937007874015748031496062992126 inch) square piece of hardwood in between the E325 and the Gorilla gear.

Buy 2 sets of Gorilla gear. One low set and one high. You can use them on 2 helis with the low in front and the high at the rear end.
