Hi,

I have an Axe CP that I am learning to fly with. I had some pretty impressive crashes, but I fixed everything up and am improving. But I dont think I fixed things up very well...

There is a vibration in the main shaft that occurs at certain RPM- not at full throttle, but just before the blades stop, and about halfway between off and full. I can look down at the shaft as its rotating and see it shift from side to side- but if I remove the rotor assembly it looks okay again.

I have replaced the main shaft, examined the stabilizer blades for spacing, and have new rotor blades- everything seems okay, I cant figure it out.

The other problem, and it may be related, is that it seems really hard to get the thing off the ground. Even at almost full throttle sometimes I can only get it a couple of feet off the ground. So it hovers around a bit and then the battery runs out (which goes quickly btw).

I think something is really wrong with the tuning or setup. I dont know anyone that flies, and I work 9-5 with 2 kids and a wife so its hard to get to a hobby shop and find someone who can help.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks!

It's hard to tell w/o seeing it. I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say the shaft is moving side to side. Possibly a bad bearing on the mainshaft? Have you checked the balance on your new blades?
