It's not the milli amps you need to think about. It's the voltage and weight of the battery. I'm running a modified mCPx skid with a stock 200mah 3.7v E-flight battery. I have some additional modifications for weight reduction and ended up 2 grams over stock. I think this is about as much weight as the MSRx can handle without impacting flight characteristics too much. It's still a little sluggish, but the run times are about 8 minutes on well used batteries. I haven't tried new batteries yet to see if I get bettter run times.

As long as its a 1s 3.7v cell your fine on any milliamps you can stuff in it.
As far as im concerned adding a bit of weight to this heli wont effect it half as much as it does the mSR, Its more like the MCPX and has more than enough power on tap.

I love these Hyperions at $5 a piece and they need no adaptor like the MCPX Micro connector cells will. I do cut the thick blue wrapper off them tho and then rewrap with thin packing tape for protection.
This is the 180mAH and it fits the MCPX skids perfectly. Weight is about right on the nose at where you want to be and get the most run time and power versus weight.

For indoor training im using these velcro'd under my canopy and i only run at 75% power and it still has more than enough juice for honing my training and learning to fly this heli.

You can get adaptor cables and run the MCPX sized cells which ive not tried yet, But ive read 300mAH is the max you want to go and thats for training only. Id say a 250mAh cell with a very lite adaptor would work good still and fly well enough if you have them on hand anyhow from owning an MCPX.

This is where you will find the 240mAh Hyperion skid battery holder when he gets them back in stock soon.

The hyperion G3 CX 240mah batteries are sure the way to go. They weigh about the same as the Eflight 200's at 6.5 grams. However, I have dozens of Eflight 200's and didn't want to let them go unused.

My modifications took into account that I would be using these long term until I exhausted my supply. I've replaced the MSRX battery wire and connector with the MCPX one. I've replaced the canopy with one from the mCX2 which is lighter. I've gone so far as to cut the short swash ball off, and cut the canopy around the battery and around the top to reduce weight. I also trimmed the battery holder on the skid a bit. There isn't anything else I can do to reduce weight any further.

You definitely notice the weight when flying, but it doesn't impact the overall feel and manueverabilty. Just think ahead a second or two.

I have ordered 10 Hyperion 180mah batteries for my second MSRX for when I want to really cut loose. This thing is absolutely perfect for indoor flying. Horizon has a long term winner with this one.
