Hey Guys/Gals...

This is a Dominion 3D 90 that has some minor mods that you might like. The heli is made up of 3 files that I have zipped. Extract all files to a temp directory. Copy the heli file (PanosDominion3D 90.plnG3) and blade file (PanosSAB710s.rb) to C:\Program Files\RealFlightG3\Planes Directory. Copy the engine file (OS91Revised.gasTorque) to C:\Program Files\RealFlightG3\Engines directory. If the engines directory does not exist within the RealFLightG3 folder then create a directory and name it "Engines".

Feel free to pm me if you need assistance

Let me know how it works for you.

Thanks

Pete Niotis

Nice!

Thanks to Pete and all the beta testers for all of your help. Fielding questions about the product, providing input after the test period has ended... You guys are awesome.

I like your model. A little slower than the stock G3 Dominion and better suited for me. Thanks for sharing!!

Now if I can just figure out how to put some V's on it.

Thanks Will...

I like mine a little more toned down.

Maybe we can get Travis to call Vic for some blade spec details.

That would be cool ;) Might as well get him to call Dmitry to for the guys that fly MAH.

Ok Pete-....

It finally worked for me... AOL must really screw stuff up with compression....

I like it....

For me... I needed to increase the cyclic rate a litte more... the Default Dominion is a bit fast for my prefrence.

I like the smoother engine torque curve! If you are beatin on the sticks, it probably dosnt matter, but you can feel the smoother power band.

White blades?!?!? Oh yea.. You are a SAB guy! LOL Easy to cange that for my ship.

Changed those little things and I got a .........

Flies very nice!

Will, the Carbon fiber 2 blade color is a black blade with white tips and roots! Look just like a MAH.

There is also a full black Carbon fiber blade with no white...

Just edit your heli, and set "visual blade type" to carbon fiber 2 towards the bottom of the main rotor settings window.

As mentioned many times... G3 is a totaly new program.. It has alot of simularitys (SP) with G2, but is very diffrent in many other ways...

I continue to find little bugs in the programming... If you come across something that just dosnt look or seem right... Throw us a post here, It may already be noted, but then again it may not.

I edited it a little, flies more like my Fury now. Changed the weight under 'mechanics' from 7.5 to 8.5, more realistic!

it doesn't work for me for some reason. It won't lift off. the engine revs, the tail spins, and the swash moves but it stay put on the ground. Any suggestions? I'm also running the latest update if that matters any.

I had this happen to me once and I think it was because I had either installed the .rb or .gasTorque file into the wrong directory.

You might try opening up the aircraft editor and making sure everything is ok in there. Try selecting a different engine and then going back to the original one. Try the same thing with the blades also.

Let me know if that works.

in the airport scene, while in the "tower spawn" point, the helis main blades are totally gone and looks like a headless heli.......

Yeah, this is a known issue. We have a bug filed for it, but I don't see it getting fixed soon.

Tried your mods & seems to work fine. I may want to slow things down a little. I'll try it this way for a while.
Thanks Ralph

I learned to fly on the stock Dom 3D 90 and love it. I may go ahead and try yours though. I'm flying my R50 nose in (started that way) FF, flips, rolls, loops, auto's and a little bit of inverted. It's amazing how close G2/3 is compared to reality!!! 11 flights and counting! no crashes as of yet (knock on wood)!

That's one awesome heli...Thanks! I'm only 2 days into G3 having never flown anything before. I'm experimenting around left and right with all the different birds available in G3 and yours is incredible when it comes to the 3D stuff. I've already logged over 10 hours on G3 and can do loops with ease and can stumble my way through some pretty cool acrobatic stuff, some of which involves backwards flying and doing maneuvers at high speeds. I find helis such as the Bell H-13 much easier to attempt hovering with due to their more tame power.... sometimes I can get in some pretty decent hovers if I'm patient. (I will get better :D ) I've played quite a bit with my son on our Playstation 2 and I think that has helped my coordination of working the 2 sticks at once. In games such as Socom II you control your player movement and direction with one and use the other to aim the weapon , all the while using the R1 button to fire your weapon. Ryan, my 11 year old would be a natural at this and I hope it sparks his interest. In walking by the computer a few times, I've challenged him to fly some pretty difficult crafts and he's managed to fly them all with pretty decent proficiency. I was impressed with him never having used a radio control before. Kids who play all the different video games are such naturals at stuff like this.. just look at 9 yr old Kyle Stacy, he's AMAZING!

Well I'm off to practice some more.. (who needs sleep?)

Thanks again for the great heli !

I'm new to g3 and loving it - especially with the panos dominion! Thanks panos! I really like the feel of that model - very empowering. Now, a quick question. The panos dominion can perform a pirouetting flipping auto from scraping-the-earth-inverted. With the right setup could you do this with a real model? That would be one freakworthy video.

I recently purchased the RF G3 sim and loaded this version of the Dominion per directions. I'm not seeing it in the list of available models to select from. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this or what I might try to access the file? I don't see a File/Open capability to access it directly.

Thanks,
Neil
