View Full Version : Alternative landing skids?
I broke one of the brittle plastic landing skid legs just by pushing it onto the landing skid. What is the recommended alternative? I see pictures of the Knight with Align skids...

I have also seen this. I thought it was just for looks ?
my knights skids have been fine no brittleness to note. I have set down a few pushover and rolling autos a bit hard as well with no achy breaky so it is the first I have heard of brittle skids ?
OK. They seem pretty solid. I must have just applied too much force. The Trex 600 skids in use maybe just a matter of easy availability at the LHS .. Well, except for this little accident, and one missing ball link, it was really easy to build. Hopefully it gets airborne this weekend.

i put a set of mavrick landing gear on my Knight 50 , i just did not like the ones that came with the knight. the Quick UK landing gear would work real good as well.
Thanks, the Trex 600 (new style) skid legs worked OK and looks nice. They needed drilling for the mounting screws. My LHS did not have the set with the skids so I had to use duct tape + set screws on the original skids.
