lol.. will a futaba rx work with a jr tx? both are pcm.. can I just take the crystal out of my futaba 6 and put it in my jr 8103? or do I need to purchase a new crystal for the rx?

No, a Futaba receiver will not work with a JR transmitter. Both the FM shift and the PCM systems are incompatible.

In no cases will PCM work across manufacturers, they all encode the information uniquely.
Hitech/Futaba are negative shift
JR and Airtronics are postive shift.
Some (very few) transmitters and recievers can do either or but again, pcm is brand specific.
