I like the cost of the new 8 channel receiver. Certainly a decent deal especially when you consider coupon savings.
$400 for the TX module though kinda sucks.
Maybe I'll have to keep flying my 2048 receivers for a while longer.

The module comes with a 14 channel receiver.... not bad
The module itself is $199
Looks like Futaba dropped it's outrageous pricing policy on the module/receiver lines!

Yep, you are right hoot. Sorry about that! $199 for the 14 channel module and another $150 for an 8 channel receiver is not too shabby :)

:) - seems like the most wanted stuff is always just one step away.
The 6014 is the only one being advertised as a G3 2048 Rx. Will be interesting to see how this Rx feels compared to the 5014. The 6014's pricing is much better than I'd expected (expected $350+ like current G3).
Competition and choice is a great thing.

Well according to the Futaba reps last week at Joe Nall 2007 in SC...they said they will be available in June or July...along with a required firmware update.
Bill Baxter says the best information he has is they will be available sometime in the FALL!!! All along Futaba has said late spring or early summer.

I am a Futaba Team pilot. All the information I have received has not mentioned anything about a firmware update to use the 2.4 ghz in the 12Z/14MZ.
Yes there is a update to the 72 mhz G3 receivers to use the new A and B modulation available now. There is a slight charge for that update.
More info should be available in the middle of June at the XFC in Muncie.
