If your battery caught fire when did it happen?
On purpose fire's don't count.

A couple of times at our field we intentionally tried to get a damaged pack to light up but never were successful.
Our attempts were strictly intended for the purpose of education, "It was for the kids"

My lhs jumped on an old stuffed cheap chinese pack a few months ago. Lots of smoke pouring/spraying for 10 seconds.
What we learned:
1) Don't do it on the cobblestones... black stain still there after waterblasting
2) Don't do it beside the house with the large sliding doors open.
Both of us have been flying electric only for several years and have never seen a pack go up...

Hey Pete, you do realize most packs are Chinese/Korean..etc??
The main differences are the technologies/quality control each manf. has and the markup after it's "branded".
