Hello I'm Relatively new to this hobby and am looking for some advice. I've Started with a Blade cp Pro and after a few crashes and rebuilds am still quite intested. As my skills progress i am becoming very intrested in a bigger better heli. What I want to do since I am Not rich Is to first invest in a new transmitter(spek.dx7). My question is will I be capable to get a Dx7 to work with my bcpp reciever and servo's or will have to invest in the complete kit with reciever and servo's. also while on this subject is what other reciever servos can I use besides spektrum products? Thanks for your time

You can only use Spektrum Rxs with your Spektrum DX-7. You can use the AR6000 DSM (park flyer range), AR6100 DSM2 (park flyer range), or AR7000 DSM2 (better full range) at this time. You can use any servos you wish. edit 5-28-07

(Just to clarify... the 6100 is also parkflyer range).

Right, the new AR6200 is the full range 6ch Rx but the ParkFlyer Rx (AR6000 or AR6100) are just fine for a 450-class heli.

Scotto, I'm in the same "funds" boat as you. What I did was fly my Blade CP and my SIM alot and purchased my T-Rex 450SE. While taking my time building that and buying a servo here and servo there was save for my Spektrum DX7. I took my time building and reading all I could here at HeliFreak and watching all the Finless and Jermo videos over and over. Then I bought my radio and finished installing the electronics. Took me about 4 months taking my time and saving. I'm so happy now. It flies beautifully. I even had time to build a nice 8' long workbench while working on this. Still fly my blade for the challenge and to keep me quick. I'm a newbie at this so I'm just getting into slow figure 8's but I love it.
Anyway, have fun.

Big Mike - something I don't understand about changing the receiver on the CP Pro is where do you find power for the Receiver out of the 3n1 unit?
