I was going to get a velocity n2 but am now thinking about canceling my order. I was looking at the n5c. I have an os50 already do you guys think this would be an ok motor for this heli. Also, there's not many heli guys at my field and no Synergy guys. Getting this thing set up will be only my second large heli so do you think this would be a good choice? How is it with the belt drive? Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

Sure it's a OK motor to put in your N5c. This one is lighter then the N5, therefore you'll loving flying this heli. Go for it you will never regret.

The belt drive is a great design, and one of the reasons I bought one. No problems with the build, everything goes together beautifully. Just make sure you check out the tips and tricks on Synergy's website, there are a couple of things there that aren't mentioned in the manual.

Hi Craig,

The OS 50 should be fine, get a decent pipe on it to allow the engine to breath and it should develop decent power.

The Belt Drive system on the N5 is the best belt drive system i have flown!! I always prefered Torque Tube over belt drives but after trying the drive system that Matt came up with for the N5 i have to say if you asked me the same question today i would say i prefer the Belt Drive. The belt drive has chunky teeth on the belt and gears which gives a very tight and direct drive which makes the tail very positive.

I got my n5c! Simply amazing quality. If anyone reads this and is thinking about this heli I say go for it and you won't be dissapointed.

Yep, this heli is pretty damn awesome! I wouldn`t exactly aggree that the OS 50 is a good enough motor for it though. Perhaps it would be good enough to fly around and do some sport stuff but if you want try something harder an OS 55 or YS 56 should be minimum. I myself will be getting the YS60R when it comes out. It`s just a lot more fun when there is a ton of power to spare.
