I have the ready to fly version of the CX3 with all metal upgrades including motor heat-sinks. The CX3 includes a radio system equipped with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 technology in the LP5DSM transmitter and Spektrum AR6100e receiver, providing 5-channel control with interference-free flying. Its covered in the licensed MD 520N scale body with an attractive police trim scheme.
Basically I got this to learn on while I was building my first Trex 450. Small enough to fly inside and almost big enough to fly outside (it gets pushed around a little in the wind). I put a bunch of money into it with all the upgrades, replacing things as I crashed... Other than the two flights today making sure everything still works, I haven't flown this in over a year and I figure it is time to let it go to someone that will use it.
Metal upgrades include the main motor heatsinks, swash plate, extended main shaft, bearing holder, rotorhead, and main blade grips.
New set of blue extreme hard blades. You will see in the pics that there are three and a half AFC blades (one of the them took a hit and is now shorter than the others so these "extras" do NOT make a full set). I also have a few misc spares parts that will be included.
Boomtown Hobbies main gear and battery try. This is much more flexible (great when you are learning) but hard to get the batteries in with the scale body. If you want to convert to a pod & boom this is the perfect landing gear. You will notice in the picks there are some notches on the bottom of the body that I had to create to get it to fit with the Boomtown Hobbies landing gear.
Heli frame and motors are stock but don't have much time on them. Should have plenty of life in them or you can always upgrade to the performance motors offered.
Comes with two batteries and a 12 volt charger and wall adaptor. Orignal radio is also included and is like new since I had always used my DX7.
You will see in the pics that the body has taken a beating but it still looks great from 5 feet aways (looks perfect when flying). Also, as an FYI, one of the flybar weights is starting to get stripped out. If this becomes an issue it could be fixed with larger set-screws or just a new set of weights since they aren't too much $. Also, one of the holes on one of the main-blade grips started to strip. Oddly enough I fixed this with a longer (not larger) screw that could take a hold of the threads better. (If you look really close you will see one bolt sticking out on one side of the bottom grip.)
Other than the above items, this heli flies great. It is smooth and really stable-perfect for getting your hovering and orientations down or just having fun on a rainy/snowy day.
Hoping for $100 via PayPal, shipped, but open to reasonable offers.
