Ok guys I bought this mx450 from a member on here a few weeks ago and im not getting the cyclic I was expecting from this thing. Here is my setup- s75 servos on cyclic, DN 2100 lipo, logictech 2100 gyro, Align 430l motor and electrifly 35amp esc, Align 150t main gear, 13t pinion on motor, STK superframe, and align 325 pro woodies. Im running 90% throttle and a 11+ 11- pitch. The cyclic feels so slow. Nothing like my knight 50 3d machine. I have the swash going full throws. Any Ideas? Im suppose to be doing a reveiw on a tail servo but im not getting the performance I need to give a honest review. Thanks so much guys.

Oh I forgot to mention that the motor is getting warm to the touch but the gear mesh feels fine? I dont have a temp gauge but I can hold my finger on the motor for about 3 seconds before OUCH! Thats probibly normal in idle up though. What are some super light 3d paddles?

mushy or slow , id say the s75's holding torque for 3d is crap with those servos , hightec hs65mg works fine for me , whats your head speed ? I just set up a v2 with a 12 tooth pinion speed control in gov at 70% turning 2800 rpm flys fine , motor stays pretty cool , hows your tail belt cant tighten them as tight as the big birds , maybe some binding going on .

You say you have an Align main gear at 150 teeth when the Mx uses a 138 tooth main gear. This for one will slow the head speed down and give slower response.

So which should I use the 150tooth or the 138 tooth? I know the s75 at 17oz of torque isnt great but ive some people get way better results than im getting with same torque servo's. I had trex paddles and a 220mm flybar also, I just put on the stock mx450 paddles to test out.

I would like to know what paddles you guys that can do 3d with the MX450 are using myself. I have HS65's with the Karbonite gears.
I have not had my heli inverted yet. I'm going to practice hovering inverted soon and the rolll rate seems slugish.
I'm a demon on the G3.5 inverted just haven't had the guts to try it for real

I crashed the first time I went inverted on this thing because it flipped so much slower than my trex does. I have to allow a good 10 feet altitude to get this inverted.

shorten the flybar or use lighter paddles.......that will speed it up
I know what you mean about the roll, my clone is much faster than the mx450

I modded the dampers and that helped. Darkside have you used any good lighter paddles? Im getting frustrated im about to go back to me trex for 3d.

I took 1 inch off the 220mm trex flybar and it helped alot.

The one thing that makes a big difference on the sim is lowering the paddle weight..
I ran a test just now on G3.5 using the heli Dominion 3d not the Dominion 90 3d.
The Dominion 3d roll rate is slowwww.

I lowered the paddle weight from 23g to 18g . The result was being able to do a tick-toc
in half the required space.
I lowered the flybar diameter from 25.20inches to 23.20 inches with no noticeable difference. I lowered it again to 15.20 inches which gave the heli a little faster roll but nothing near what lowering the paddle weight does.
I know this is a sim and not RL but this is ball park what a real heli will do.

Im not sure I can get lighter paddles. I got the align trex lightest paddles.

Finless Bob did a review on Gorilla Gear paddles. They may be lighter without the weights. Here's a link to the review http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/other&filename=gear_paddles.wmv
