I am installing a GY-401 gyro on my Voyager E Stretched Helli. The Gyro came with 3 pieces of Mounting Tape. Do I stack all 3 pieces together for a thicker cushion or do I only need to use them 1 layer at a time? I always say there is no stupid questions, only stupid mistakes for not asking !

Great question, just use one at a time. Useing more than one seem to make it lag, or cusions it too much for accurate responce.

Laurens, You should only use the one because of the before mentioned problem, although it will work either way, just much better with only one pad.

Keep those two as spares...you will need them.

I removed the gyro to fit it on the Caliber once I have it. Now I'm out of tape....

Home Depot has a 3M exterior double sided tape that is a suitable replacement.
look in the hardware section for a red spool in a blister package.

The 3M clear is also pretty good tape. Shannon turned me onto it about a year ago and it has been working well for both of us since. I know a lfew people at the field have used some of it off my roll to and I have never heard any complaints.

If it were me, I would take the Futaba tape and light it with a match and watch it burn. This stuff has wrecked a number of helis because it likes to separate right in the middle of the tape layer.
3M 4408 is available at Rick's, MinAir and several other places. This is the tape to use. I have personally seen the Futaba tape rekit a heli.
