Hi, I'm almost back on my feet after two crashes in a row (first one with my 90SE and the second one R60).
I've been tinkering with the R90 SE and there are some issues that are bothering me.
First, I noticed during the initial building that the carbon collective pitch frame kind of rubs on on some of the screw heads of the clutch bearing case
solved adding a little washer on the pivot screw and filing a bit off the top of the screw heads (but not very keen on these home brew solutions any suggestions for that one?
I just noticed the ball link that goes from the aileron lever to the swash on the right side (starboard) rubs on the metal elevator parallel lever, and because it has the set screw in the middle I can see some wearing on the ball link. is it ok to add a washer on the aileron lever to separate it more from the frame? or there is another cause for this?
there are some washers supplied with the kit but the instructions are not very clear as where to use them so I placed them where I seem to work:dontknow
I'm not 100% happy with all this so I just want to know if was it me assembling it wrong? or it is common on this kit and needs the home brew fixing.
I'd appreciate any suggestions and let me know if this is not very clear I try to be more explicit or post some pics.
Thanks,

alexander

The 90SE kit has shims for moving the roll belcranks outboard. If the collective cradle is shimmed correctly the stock bolt heads likely won't hit. You can also use thinner washers under the bolt heads. You can also grind a 1/3 moon indent in the carbon cradle for better access to the pinion bearing block bolts. You may have used a longer setscrew than you should have on the fore/aft belcrank and so it rubs on the rod end.
The instructions assume the modeler has experience. Sounds like you have a good handle on the build.

alexander, thanks for all the input,
About the set screw, I used the right one and it is flush with the lever but since this is not smooth and the rod end passes touching it (almost) the vibration is taking care of grinding it, anyway I added another thin washer to gain a bit more room between them.
The craddle it worked fine after tinkering with it during asembly, but yesterday I realised that I used the wrong screws for the aileron pivots, I used the ones for the body fitting post instead of the ones for it (too shorts) so I decided to swap them and therefore I had to take the cradle apart. The bad news is that I only recovered one of the screws since the other got ruined on the crash :arggg: Now I have to Mcgiver something since all the M3x25 screws I have are not threaded to the end of them and nobody seems to list M3x25 button head screws as spares :dontknow
