Is anyone here planning on running a safe switch for RX system on the Goblin? Mine will be HV set up with direct 2S, and when looking around I see a few people using "safe switch" on their big helis. I just dont understand why it is needed. If it's just convenience if easy turning on/off RX it really doesn't make sense.

For comparision

Without safe switch
1- Take heli to flying patch
2- Remove canopy
3- Plug in RX pack lead
4- Plugin flight pack lead
5- Secure canopy
6- Fly

With safe switch, the only thing changed is step 3, instead of plugging in the lead you flip a switch or remove a pin. Doesn't make things simpler at all, plus why add another component that could fail into the pipe?

Did I get something wrong?

Thanks,

What you are saying is pretty close, I don't use a soft switch on my Logo 600 and just plug in the Rx pack directly. I have purchased a safe switch for my Goblin but it is not really needed.

The only comment on introducing another failure point is the way the switches are designed is that the fail switched on, so other than adding more plugs depending on how it is wired it, it shouldn't introduce an additional point of failure.
