I got started the HARD way.....THe guys in the shop laughed at me for trying it....THEY WERE RIGHT and woulda had alot of laughs at my expense....2 weeks to rig and be capable of a hover.....started flying the tail instead of the nose.....got good at it and had to relearn the whole process! Now, 3 months and near 700.00 later I've upgraded to brushless and performing lazy 8's in a 2 car garage. I sure wish I'd known about you guys then....and glad I do now as there is much to learn.

Hey Hawk. A lot of people that did the " go it alone" route wound up starting off the hard way. Good you got back on track. Doing figure eights sounds good! Keep at it.

Hawk..
What are you flying...some sort of electric from what it sounds. I think we all had to relearn things when starting out... orientation is the key. Sometimes we think we got it right starting out but then someone more experienced gives us manuevers that helps us relearn things and gets us on the right track.

THanks Bart...I'm flying a Hummingbird v3 with brushless conversion....I've already read about some new manuevers...like face-in...that I'm already practicing. Any other suggestions?
