I'll be the traveling guy. My job takes me all over the US for several weeks to months at a time, and I'll help anyone wherever I may be. I'm still working on re-learning my flying, but it comes back with every gallon.
FAI flying, some radio, some setup although I can use more learnin' in that area myself.

Clint, First of all it was great to meet you guys.

I can and willing to help anyone getting started in the SW Florida Area. I am almost always available on Sundays out at the CRCS field. I can help with EVOs, Rappys, and Ventures (will get Paul's help if needed) Between Paul and I we have JR and Futaba covered. We have a Robbe rep at the next field who I can ask to help with some of the other machines. And, if someone shows up with something I don't understand I am not afraid to ask for help ( I know a group of guys on an online forum who can fix anything :wink: ) One thing I have found is if you help one person, you soon become the local expert. I have people who can outfly me regularly comming up to ask me advise.

We are all on different parts of the same learning curve.

BTW. Thanks again Rodney for your help at the FF.

Hey Clint,
Would be more than happy to pitch in and help. We were having Friday night heli anonymous meetings at my house, however the two guys I normally fly with just went to work for Bell and they are now up in Owego. When we did get together on Fridays, our first priority was to get any one of the guys heli's fixed if he had crashed or just was having a problem. This ensured that eveyone had a decent chance of getting to fly on the weekend. When all was calm, we would pick a subject, such as set-up or fuel systems and kick back with a cup of coffee and discuss the subject.

You now when we "pony up," to the bar, we all wind up learning and, maybe making someone's entry into the hobby a bit easier and more fun...and that's the name of the game.

Hey guys sorry for not responding sooner............. :oops: ........... I have been busy going to events and I am just getting to all the things I have been neglecting. I am Clint Akins on Skype for anyone who wants to talk to me on there. It is great to have all of you guys to step up and all the stories are great also. I have enjoyed meeting all of you and talking with everyone and I am thankfull to have a great group of fellowpilots to be associated with. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
We should all pray for those afected by the rcent Hurricane Katrina and we should make an extra effort to help others in their time of need. We are all bless if only having the oppurtunity to be free and to be able to comunicate on sights like this.
