Nice to see we are all progressing! Cralis we'll have to catch up at Dakabin one weekend - nice flying, your getting there mate!

I have just got back from camping with the family, & the Hurri of course!! I got a lot of flying time logged & consolidated what I have learnt so far. Getting comfortable with nose in now, & reall enjoying flying my Hurricane.

Here is a 2min video of a flight whilst camping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGZKRWUW1pE

My wife snapped a couple of great shots also.

Cheers

Thanks JE & Mike,

I don't mind "low", it's hitting the ground that bothers me!! ;)

OK, here's my latest.

It's a bit long as it has some footage of the Xtreme on the end of it and I don't own any scissors :)

Warning, contains crash!

I am still learning and pushing the heli the best I can... the price I have to pay to get better , I cant blame anything as I am heli crack :YeaBaby:. I have over 300+ flight with about 10 crashes on my Hurricane .

I just recently move the Hurricane to 9s 2500ma packs, Z30-1100, 14T, 61T, 61T pinions. I get about 4-4.5 minutes with 2400 head speed. Sorry for the noise as it was very windy.

Fantastic flying Vic! :Bang

I'm having feelings of Inadequacy!!

I thought I was doing pretty well after 5 months & 300 flights but you have just blown that idea out the window!

Well done mate I'm impressed. Keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers

Graeme, I started a month ahead of you so no biggie you can learn a lot in 1 month. I also have 300+ flight on the my other heli Trex 500. I fly M-F on a good lunch break, LOL. I am on the sim enough to learn a new trick and not the press the red button then try it out at the field. Doesn't matter really how fast you want to learn, maybe if I took my time it would cost less :( and crash less. Getting a lot of airtime really helps!

Thanks for the kind remarks, I do push my abilities harder than most because I know the heli will survive the crashes :YeaBaby:, just gotta have the parts, I just hate the sound it makes when it hits ground. The Hurricane has been the best trainer heli, IMHO and you can really make it a powerful ship as well.

Well guys, I decided that today was going to be the day for attempting my first loop.

I have been practising them on the sim with good results so I thought …. No time like the present!

I installed my old crash damaged canopy & my oldest Lipos, & I was actually not concerned about crashing it. I had done the preparation, so all that was left to do was try.

I didn’t stuff around to long before having a go. I got a good run up and pulled her up high. My heart was in my mouth as she went over the top…..as soon as I realised that I had pulled off the manoeuvre I was stoked! YEEAAA!! What a rush! I went straight back and did a couple more to prove to myself it wasn’t a fluke.

I called up my wife & kids to come down with the camera, so I have some footage of a Bl@@dy Great Day! 3 packs & 12 loops AND I got to take the heli home in one piece!!
It doesn’t come better than that. http://www.archeli.com.au/cobra/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Graeme very nice!! them fast forward loops are harder than standing loops at least for me. Next is the roll .

If I can do a trick a 100 times in the sim without pressing the red button...out to the field I go in the mercy of the Heligods!

Thanks fella's, it was certainly the stuff big grins are made of. I had another 3 flights today - more loops, harder, faster, & brought her home again in one piece!! :clappp

Love it!!

This is another vid from yesterday with a loop that nearly went wrong....

I will be certainly working up to trying rolls Vic, but at the moment I don't have a high success rate on the sim....but I'll get there!
