hope you and Bob have a great time in Bali :smokin:

Funny you should say that but he has only gone and booked the same bloody hotel as me at the same time!!!

I think he is stalking me....

No worries I will just have to set my wife on him!

Nice flying Mike

Pity about the tool with the metal detector (or whatever it was).
Must have been his afternoon off from train spotting.
Actually, it was a 90 year old guy picking up golf balls. It's a public park, so what the hey. I really never got very close to him even though it sort of looks like it. That guy is out there all the time - I give him credit for still getting up and getting around.

Hi,

I did some flips and inverted hover training yesterday... here's the on board video :

http://www.dailymotion.com/kkwait/video/x6d92j_hurricane-550_sport

I noticed a real improvement with the light weight paddles !
I just have problems keeping heading while doing flips and rolls... I have to practice moving the sticks straight... but I'm pretty happy anyway. :)

Any comment is welcome ! ;)

(I went a little too far on the lipos and for the first time, the ESC reduced power before I landed...)

Salut,
Where did you find this mAh counter? Is it included in the flycamone 2?

Regards
Frankoi

Salut ;)
It's the e-logger counter... I play it back on my computer, capture the video with camstudio (http://camstudio.org/) and add it to the video... :)

Nice video and a unique way of using the camera I never thought of....on the tail boom....it looks nice and steady and there was no vibration.....

really cool...

Thanks

Thanks ! :)
I think it's nice to see the swashplate in action...

I was impressed by the absence of vibrations, I was expecting a few but... thanks to the CNC tail and T600 tail hub I guess... :D

Nice video KK. How would you rate the flycamone? I would like to shoot some onboard video & have been reading up on the camera options.

Cheers
Graeme

The flycamone is good for its price. It's small, light and has a good resolution (640x480 in video).
The only problem is the video/audio sync. Sometimes, the video framerate drops... You really need to have a good high speed SD card.
I don't and I have to fight with the editing to re-sync ! :(
But in this range of prices, I don't think you have better options ;)

Hi,

I agree with all others, very nice video !

Just curious, what lipos and headspeed do you have ? Try to understand the counter vs lenght of fligth.

Wow... pretty close to the ground for a first inverted hover attempt !
I waited for 4 or 5 flights before doing it this low...

Well done

Awesome inverts, way to go. I put in 20 flights of nose in inverts and still never got that low , improved much, wasn't long ago you were just flipping it. Keep up the learning curve :Bang

This video clip was taken today testing some sport flying at 80% instead of the usual 100% TC. On this heli i'm running the RevCo gears ( 20,68,20,61). The Ion-X paddles work well, but there must be a LOT of force on them during a roll because flybar rotated in flight making the heli hard to handle. I was able to land the heli safely though.

The second video clip shows what the flybar cage and paddles looked like right after it landed. I tried to rotate the flybar by hand after the flight just to see how loose it was and i was close to breaking the paddles loose to move it back!
I'm so lucky that the flybar didn't slide one way or the other as that would have been explosion city.
To correct the issue, i made two little flat spots on the flybar where the set screws touch it so hopefully this will be the last moving flybar adventure. :YeaBaby:

Lol First video I released of My hurricane 550 ;p . Anyways just wanted to show what the Hurry was flying like with some Mavrikk blades on it. Though my usual spot was taken and I had to use a much smaller area I normally only my 450 in .

Nice flight xodarap =D or from the part that I saw of it was good haha but I can only imagine how hard it must be having to record by yourself and fly in a small confined area.
