Well my tail twitching is back and im getting frustrated. Im running a 502/9253 on the tail with a gain of 40/50 on the module. Gain doesnt fix anything i was wondering about the sensor tape and vibration it has a single piece of tape on it would that cause a twitching tail? I see alot of people running double tape on the sensor. Is that better for the sensor? There is no binding on the rudder control rods any help would be great. This is getting old trying to work this out i just want to fly

First I would suggest to check the thrust bearings in the tail grips to make sure they are positioned correctly. The smaller ID thrust race should be on the outward side.
A single layer of foam tape should be fine for the sensor. I would suggest the 3M foam tape #4408. This the foam tape that MA and Ace both sell.
The Futaba foam square that came with the gyro will work well also. Just a word of warning, keep a close check on it. The foam will separate and the gyro will become loose. That is why I use the 3M tape to mount my sensors.
Also the tail twitch can be caused the engine not be properly tuned. Try adjusted the needles to see if model will get smoother.

Ive rebuilt the tail and the thrust bearings are correct im also going to try the 3m tape. The needle settings are close to what jk is running or has posted in the web site. I can lean the mid a little and it gets better but then it sounds lean when i drop the throttle it gets that stroking sound to it (sb-16 muffler and gv-1) I may try another pipe on it i have a mp2 that may get put on it for testing. Thanks for the reply i was just finding out if anybody else has encountered this before on a fury and if it is a simple fix that im not seeing

Jeremy,
The needle settings that Jason has posted on his website will work for him where he is located. Those settings may not work for your location.
Yes the settings Jason posted is probably in the ball park of where they need to be. But one or two click in either direction on these motors can make a big difference sometimes in how the motor runs.
The SB 16 is a great muffler system and will work well with just about any motor. You haven't said what motor your using. YS and OS the needles adjust different. By that I mean that one needle has different affects than the same needle on the other motor.

On the YS 91, set the low end needle for a nice idle and transistion.
Then set the mid range ( hover) needle for the engine to run smooth in a hover. The mid range needle is the longest needle. Once you have the low end and mid range running correctly. Then you can adjust the high end ( short ) needle.
The low end needle does have some effect on how the mid range will run.
The mid range needle has effect on the high end needle.
The high end needle adjusts the mixture from 60% barrel opening to full throttle. It is important when your hovering that your the carb is open to the 40% mark that is on the carb. In the mid range when your hovering, if the needle is much above this mark, then the mixture is trying to draw between the two needles and doesn't no what to do.
So make sure where your throttle barrel is opening to when your hovering and trying to set the mid range. Also it is best to get the motor running correctly with the governor off if your using one.

Well, after all the frustration from the tail i figured it out 100% After doing some inspecting of the entire heli i found that one of the boom supports was loose. It came apart from the th jb weld now the fury flies smooth, but now i cant seem to get the vertical fin from twisting when i do strong climb outs. It torque twist every time no matter how much i tighten. It is there a permenent fix for this or do i have to twist it back after all flights?and one more ? i have a problem with drifting inverted with a 502/9253 upright its solid ive tried gain and the lenght of the horn but i cant figure it out setup is 90 on everything. headspeed is set at 1750 with a gv-1 changing it doesnt help any. Any help on these would be great
thanks
