Are there any tweaks or setting changes I need to make to the G3.5 transmitter or is it OK out of the box.

No. It is fine right out of the box. The only problem that I had was trying to determine what sticks did what since I was trying to get into the hobby.

Don't feel bad... I'm right there with you. New to the hobby and just jumped right in with the SIM. :shock: I am using a JR 10s TX, and after several hours of littering my screen with heli parts, :arggg: I tried using the "toy" TX that shipped with G3. :shock: I have now re-mapped my TX so that the sticks work the proper channels and can actually fly for a few minutes before sailing off into the sunset. :bomb: The 1st video on Heli training (In G3) goes over the controls and what does what. Hope this helps.
