i have to be careful what i post. you know where that leads to. my 425 is flying great. i have it set up really nice. very very happy with it. i heard the new 425 has provisions for full size servos now, but i can't confirm that.

I picked this up from helidirect a couple of months back.. only just got around to trimming to fit around the Z30 and fixing some grommets in for the mounting posts.
I've been using the Fusano yellow and green for a long time. Good visibility but lacking a little 'flare'.
This later black/green/orange canopy looks great. Not flown it yet but I expect it to be pretty easy to 'follow'.
Unfortunately when I just looked on the web site again they don't offer this canopy colour sheme... Anyone know what is happening with helidirect and fusano (for the H550)?

So, Phil, that's what your bird looks like....very nice . Is that the Scorpion 1210 on there? Bro, thanks for the sweet deal on my 550 :YeaBaby:. I'll get some pix as soon as my computer decides to recognize my camera again.

Hi,
The Maniac blades are 503mm long, I bought them here : http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/acatalog/Blades_Bbt.html, you can also find them at readyheli but they are 20$ cheaper in UK... depends on the shipping cost for you...
The flybarless head is available at FH : http://flying-hobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=232_234&products_id=3884 or just the parts 204706 and 204707 if you already have the metal grips and hub...
And the Skookum 360 comes from http://www.heli-rnd.com/Flybarless-Device.php (free shipping )

I made a little plastic plate (and tied it on the frame spacers) to hold the receiver.
And the SK360 goes under. It may not be the most practical but... this way, everything is IN the frame. :)
And with a 6S 3300 (zippy or outrage) in the nose, a 1000 to 1300mAh receiver lipo in front of the motor, short boom, the COG is almost perfect.

... I'll try and make better pics...

I am goint to go Flybarless on my Huri550. I intended to use the Robbe Hellicommand Rigid, but I see that some of you use the SK360.
- Do you consider it better than the Hellicommand ?
- Can it, like the robbe, offer a beginners mode that can help to save the Heli in case of panic (for a beginner) ?
Also,
- Have you noticed an increase in flying time thanks to an improved efficiency of the rotor ?
and finaly,
- Why did you choose the MANIAC baldes ? are they better than the 500mm GAUI carbon blades ? (for translation and mild acro, NO 3D at all)
thanks a lot

the SK360 does NOT have the ability to recover for beginners. but costs a LOT less
can't answer on flight time since I like my flybar
the Maniacs are more for 3D

with a flybarless heli there is a 15% increase in flight time. the you can control how responsve the heli is w/ it but it cant act like an autopilot like HC can.
