What boom and blade size did you use?

probably the long boom since that fuse is for .30 sized helis...that is a very very nice looking 500... one day I'll have one like that...

My new setup:
Scorpion HK3026-1210kw motor; Align 75A ESC, Trex600 skids, Trex600 rear blade holder.
Gears 14;50;19;61 and Thro curv: 90% flat, Head Speed about 2100 rpm
Today I've flown couple circles, but it was very windy about 20 m/s so it was kinda hard to hold the heli. Anyway I did couple tic-tocs, but performance was not so good as I expected
I'll try to increase the thro curve, maby It'll be better...

Using the Hobbyworld headspeed calculator I get about 2,000 rpm HS - as you say perhaps if you raise it to 100% flat, or increase your OWB to 20T, or your pinion to a 15T and keep your current TC you should get about 2,100rpm.

Mikey, thanx. I'll try to do that.
But how many rpms will hold the wooden blades and plastic main grips ?

Good question - I'm on 14/50/20/61 and I run at 95% (100, 95, 95, 95, 100 idle up) on woodies and plastic grips, which is around about 1,800rpm - my woodies had "do not use above 1,900rpm on them

that canopy looks great, what is it? You should give 'the old girl' a new pair of shoes to go with her new hat...the Hurri looks so much better with the Rappy 30/50 skids (imo)

it's the cheap plastic canopy (http://www.readyheli.com/204160_Canopy_Body_Assembly_Gaui_Hurricane_550_p/204160.htm) with my second attempt to airbrush canopies.
The raptor skids look nice, I'll giv'em a try!

Hey dudes,

this is my 550 Hurricane (plastic frame, stock power parts). I've recently finished building the custom MP-style landing gear, quite stable right now, I love it...:woohoo
