Here's some photos of my new 550 canopy. It's my heli but all credits for the great canopy paintjob goes to Markus ("Jägarn" or "The hunter") here in Gothenburg, Sweden.

I've never flown it with this canopy yet because I need to apply some fiber glass to strengthen it around the canopy mounts at the top. If it bends (like when you put it on) the paint will crack.

Heli is a 550 Carbon, Z30, 6S Kong Power 3200 LiPo, GY401/9254 and it flies really well. Too bad I'm not yet skilled enough to fully challenge it ;-)

Hi,
Here's some pictures of my new, self-painted T-Rex 600 canopy.
One of my friends gave me an old crashed canopy:thumbup: and I just made a quick painting job.
I see my bird much better when flying, really nice!:)

This is my new Hurri 550 which is yet to be flown. I am still getting the heli ready for it's first flight so hopefully it looks much the same after that!

looks really nice, clean lines. Depending of your level of expertise-you may find orientation a little difficult at distance, the white is easy to 'lose' whilst flying.

G'day fellow Hurri freaks

Presenting my latest spraycan paintjob effort.

This one is more a trial for the final scheme which I intend to airbrush. A friend of mine and I have made our first few FG canopies at home. This one is the 2nd to come out of the mold and is a wee bit heavy.

There are a number of flaws in the paintwork but I soldiered on anyways, fighting humidity from a very rainy Easter weekend didn't help.

So anyway, enjoy....hopefully much better to come once I get my airbrush fired up.

looks great!! double check on your canopy that it doesn't rub the top of the motor... my stock plastic one didn't rub my Z20, but my Fusuno did... so I had to trim it a little...

Thanks for the warning. I checked the top fwd section of the motor underneath the canopy and it seems fine. I'll be sure to keep an eye on it after a flight...

Well, I finally went out and spent some coin on a compressor, descent gun and some nice paint.
Using a canopy from our 2nd mold I painted this for Ozdruid. Its a basic but bright scheme.

We are very happy with it... :)

WOW is all I can say...

Flinto .. I am STOKED with the end result mate - done yourself proud! In the afternoon sun, this baby just GLEAMS!! The photos look hot - but they still dont do it justice when you get up close and personal!!
Great work mate and yeah - wow - I can't thank you you enough.

A big shout out to the all the Hurricane boys in Brisbane, Australia - great bunch of supportive guys and its just great to have top-notch fellas like Flinto and Wellblung to help newbies (like me) out on the field, always able to lend a hand or loan a spare part, or in this case, fully construct and spray paint a sweet new fibreglass canopy!
