Heli is a bit of mongrel. Use to not buy stuff on line only from shops thus heli is a mix of thunder tiger, align, hdx. Probably when suitably insulated the battery can be orientated longitudinally for a slimer profile and better canopy fitment.

what kind of flight times do you get with the 6s A123?? I was only getting 3.5-4 minutes on 7s A123

6s a123. 4 mins timer with a about a minute or so in reserve. Battery only charging to 90-93% so only 1900 - 2000 mah (charger sent for repair). 1470kv, 16/60/19/61, 425mm blades spinning at 2100-2200rpm sucking 19 amps. Realistically (2300/19000)*60= 7.26 or 7 mins 15 secs. 475mm blades suck 24amps for 4 mins with bugger all in reserve so your figure seems right. Would say that rpm or blade length sucks juice exponentially.

My turn!
Today I made my first solo hover without my mentor, and this heli is worth every penny!
I hovered between 10 cm to 2 meters, and landed it gently... :Bang It was Awesome!

Flying-Hobby Extreme Combo with hand painted canopy (by me), With black 600 struts and fin, and 50 size skids - thus I don't need a training cross. The blades are still the stock woodies 'till I feel confident enough for the TIG carbons. I upgraded the motor to Z30 1100KV and I use 4x TURNIGY 2200mAh 30C from HK.
