Here are some pictures of my hurricane SE with all the blingelings attached. The skids are shortened universal alloy skids from a locak hobbyshop. It runs on the 75amp gaui esc and 100kv motor.
I also made a custom linkage for the tailservo. Unfortunatly we were too lazy to turn the heli around for pictures of the other side (ok we forgot really)

I got them here (dutch hobyshop) http://www.rcheliparts.nl/N_frame.html?http://www.rcheliparts.nl/Alu_landings_gestel_rood_voor_een_30_50_heli__N_ar t_6396.php

Yes they are. They usualy go on raptor 50's etc. I allready cut about 15mm on both sides and they still are a bit too wide. But i think they are too low as well, my tailvin in only about 20 mm from the ground, so i'm gonna narrow the bent on the skids so it gets higher on its feet and also makes it a bitt less wide.

Where did you buy this "SE" ?

I'm sorry, it is not the SE, but CF pro kit from www.flying-hobby.com
The SE is the plastic frame with metal head on their site.
This is the gaui CF frame version, upgraded with revco gears, gaui metal head, CNC tail unit, CNC levers, CNC seesaw and GF canopy.

I like the skis...
Don't miss the snow...
What landing gear are you using...Trex 600 or raptor ?
I never realized how small the main gear was until I went to use it on my ECO8 and realized the 550 gear is smaller than the standard ECO....and I thought ECO was small...!!
Sorry to hear about the ESC....it has happened to several others also...

Those are Raptor skids. Tough as bleach bottles and very solid in all directions.
The Gaui skids suffered from hanger rash. Better there than on a hard landing and lose the blades, or worse.:YeaBaby:
