I`m putting my Skyfox mechanics for my Sonic together and have just been sorting out the pushrod for the throttle.
There is a plastic side panel/cover that is part of the cooling system for the engine,I have to run the pushrod into it.
Whats the correct way of doing it,cut a hole out and re thread the pushrod through it or run a slot out in the plastic so the panel will go over every thing?
How much will the cutting out of holes affect the airflow?
Any ideas from those guys who have put these mechanics together before?

On my Sky Fox based machines I ran a extension on the arm and ran the rod outside of the shroud, didn't want to cut it. Craig B

Same here. I use a long ball about 10mm and I don't have to cut the plastic.

On my Sky Fox mechs I dremeled a 1/4 wide slot about 1 1/2 inch long for the arm from the servo to pass through to the carb arm. I also put a mild double bend in the arm as well. Having a small slot in the shroud has not affected the cooling.

In the end thats what I did - cut out a slot for the pushrod in the plastic ducting for it to slid in and put a bend in it.
Works ok.
