ok i got bored and want to for the 4th time redo my wiring. i got rid of the 20amp esc in favor of a eflite 10amp esc.. my question is the park 370 says that it pulls 10amp's and the esc is rated for a continuse 10amp. im not one to ride borders. so how iwll a 10amp esc hold up with a park 370 and mainly hovering with very very minor ff. maybe a flip or roll for the hell of it here and there.

10 amp esc will work fine, the park 370 in a blade cp won't pull more than 8 amps if properly geared. I use a cc10 for my hacker E37 and it has never given me a problem.

kool im geareding useing a 8th pinion. with micro heli main gear. i think the main has the same number of teeth as a stock gear

I've used my Phoenix 10 with my Elf Hobby 4200kv motor with 10T when I was using a dd tail. It ran hot but pretty much held up. When I used it with my Freestyle Belt Mod, the esc shut down. I had to gear down to 9T. That worked fine for two weeks. Then two successive failures. BEC power outs. Crashes.
I replaced that with a Phoenix 25. It works great now. It only gets warm after 5-6 min. But I was told the CC bec's aren't really up to it for 4 servos, a gyro, and a voltage sensitive AR6100 rx. So I am getting a Park BEC 5v too.
Looking back, the Phoenix 10 wouldn't have failed with a Park BEC. I suggest you install one should you use a Pheonix 10 and your power consumption is near the limits. It's practically weighs nothing. Total weight should still be less than the Phoenix 25 alone.

see i dont know if im pushing the limits or not.
in my offroad rc adventures. i stayed away from running the limits ont heesc and motor. i want to save alittle weight and get my pro looking good. its hard to do with that big ass eflite 20amp esc. wich btw never gets above warm when i fly. i guess oh well if it goes out i will rebuild and put the 20amp on in a different spot

I've been running a himax 2015 3600 w/9t on a cc10 for a long time with no issues. It pulls 9amp max....holding the heli and full throttle (9.3 to be exact). No way my kind of flying will ever work the motor that hard.
To Gino's point though, its good practice to use a seperate bec. I don't on my franken blade or Hornet but I have them on all my mini's. Three guns run cc25's, two run cc35's and the heliup gun with the medusa MR-028-040-3400 has a cc45. they all have the ParkBEC. for $15, its good insurance and only 6 grams.

One end hooks up the the battery connector. The servo cable plugs into the Batt pins on the rx.

I solder both the esc and bec wires at the same spots +/- on the male deans plug...both run off the same battery.
