COOL!
My new motor mount and gear arrived yesterday!
THANK YOU SUBTRIM.COM (Broke-again).
I am going to put them in today and fly the crap out of it until the gear is worn out again. We will see how long that takes. Then when Adrian's CNC gear comes, FULL testing of that sucker.
I hope this solves the high power drive train issue!!!!

The CNC 68T .6M 1st reduction gears and 61T .8M main gears shipped to me yesterday. They should show up on Monday.
We need to do some testing to make sure they hold up well and that the gear ratios are what we need. As soon as we know they are good (I am pretty sure they will be  ) I can get quantities in ~2 weeks.
Hi,
When using a large first reduction gear there is very little space left between the gear and the servos.. I donīt see how you are going to fit in a large pinion..
I have tried the Gaui large gear as first reduction gear and the maximum pinion size was 15T before hitting the servos (or the chassi, i dont remember which one it was..)
Have you guys been thinking about this?
A 68T gear in .6M is smaller than the large 61T Gaui gear in .8M.
Stock 42T .8M is 33.6mm in diameter.
Stock 61T .8M is 48.8mm.
Revco 68T .6M is 40.8mm.
The 68T will fit fine and when combined with the range of pinions currently available open up a lot of motor and battery combo possibilities.

So did you bust up any more gears Finless?
I'm really interested in this heli since the Align 500 seems to be a pipe dream. Just want to see if it can perform like a top-notch machine.

OK here is the outcome and I ran 4 flights on my 2500 FP 6S packs.
1) The main gear held up with the new mount but it is showing signs of wear.... I can see that it still wont last long 20 flights maybe?? Maybe a little more depending on how hard you fly it.
2) With the 1100 KV motor at 100% throttle I was close to 2400 head speed. I liked that but was getting some tail kicks... I am pretty sure the tail grip bearings are sticking at this high a head speed (and higher tail speed). I had this problem on my Logo 14 with the stock tail setup and it was just like this one.
So I dropped the head speed down to 2200 and the tail kicks were gone. It still flew good with 2200 but was not really HOT liek when it was at 2400. Looks like if I want 2400 I am going to have to look at the tail and solve the kicks. Again I am sure its the bearings locking up and getting sticky due to the increased side load of the grip bearings at higher RPMs. I see thurst bearings in my future ;)
3) The Evo25 2500ma 6S packs gave me 4 minutes 30 seconds flight time pushing the heli around pretty good. Put back 2050 ma which is just a tad over 80% discharge but I think that is fine. Lighter flying will bring that time up obviously. So the 2500 packs are a good fit for average 3D but for harder stuff expect 4 to 4.5 minute flights on those packs. If you want more time and hard 3D is your thing, then I think the 3300ma packs will be the ticket. Me I will stick with the 2500's and 4 minute flight times.
HOWEVER.... I think a more effecient motor than the 600+ I am using will improve the times. I think I am going to go motor searching once I get Adrian's gears and pinions.
So all in all the heli is shaping up well... I now have to go fix the tail kicks so I can get the head speed up a bit more....

Bob - The gears are here and they fit and fly perfectly  I will send you a set tomorrow along with some pinions.
If Bob and another tester I have lined up gives them the nod I will get a bunch coming this way.
Here are some pics so you can see the chages I made.
I made the back of the first reduction gear flat so there is 1mm more material for the screws to bite into. I am using M3 x 6mm hex screws...they hold much better than the stock self taping screws.
The main gear us beefed up a little like the first redcution gear but the back is cut for clearance so you can insert the main shaft bolt and nut.

Adrian AWESOME MAN! I cant WAIT to test..... You da man :noteworthy :noteworthy :noteworthy
The MOD on the 68T looks different than the 42T gear? Did you match the mod for the 68T gear to the GAUI gear? Or am I seeing things?

I changed the Module on the 68T to match the Lepton .6 Module pinions.
The 61T main gears are both .8M but mine is STRONG.
Here are some pics of the gears in the heli. Note that with a 22T pinion installed I am right in the middle of the motor plate adjustment slots. This means all the Lepton pinions will fit from 18T to 26T.

Would the new gears help with a stock setup to get more head speed? Stock motor and stock esc...

The stock motor is maxed out power wise with the stock gearing. I few have tried gearing it up with no increse in headspeed...just more heat and shorter flight times.

Thanks for the reply i think ill just wait tell someone works out a good setup for this ..I really like the heli it flys well on two 2100 TP but the head speed could be higher and i`d like alittle longer flight times getting 5 min`s now.

Wow! New gears sounds good!!!!
But guys, I found another weak point on the bird!!! Be careful, autorotation steel pinion has very thin wall, so could be easyly cracked or splited! Yestergay, after another crash I've manage to split it in two part(I'll post pics later) And the day before yesterday I found that my another one way pinion has small crack and due to that was sliping on one way bearing :(
