Hi,

Brand new to the Hobby. Never even held a Controller before. I haven't even ordered my DX7 yet.

I received my G 3.5 sim a couple of hrs ago. Got it setup and have been working with it.

I am wondering what the "Quality" of this G 3.5 is compared to the DX7 Tx....?

Is it "Realistic" or will the DX7 be noticeably "Better"....?

Also, is the Trex 450 included in the origin software or is it in one of the add-ons? If Not, what's the closest choice available to the Trex 450....?

Thanx for any Input!

The controller does not compare to the DX-7. I have the DX-7 and love it.
My friends and I are using the Raptor 30 as a T-Rex 450 clone.

you can find free downloads for helis and planes. there ones people modded from different helis already in the sim.. buy my fav is the dominion 3d 90 with the scale size turned up to 300ish. its hard to see the heli on the screen when it gets farther away from you. i tryed to set my dx6 up for realflight but just couldnt get it to work. i could get all the servos to move correctly but no throttle. pitch was there but throtle wasnt...

The controller that comes with RF is nothing close to a "real" transmitter in feel. What it will absolutely do for you is develop muscle memory. The sim will teach you orientation and "unusual attitude" recovery which will definitely translate to the real thing.

The only thing the sim won't do for you is give you the courage to actually DO the things you can do on the sim in real life. :)

Some of the 3rd party aircraft require some of the addons/expansion packs to work.
