I have now built my second head with all new parts for my Rap 60.

I have slop between the blade grip and main rotor head. (about .54mm)

All spacers are on and washers are flat to the spindle shaft.

Thanks,

Ed

Are the screws fully in? .5mm doesn't sound too much.

Yes, everything is seated and tight.

I built the the first head with the parts from the kit.

I was not too sure that the slop was ok. So I asked around and NO ONE could help me, not even ACEHOBBY(He sounded confused).

I got tired of waiting for an answer, so I purchased all parts for a new head rebuild. I got the same problem.

If you pull the shaft tight to one side, the blade grip will move.
This is what I'm measuring. (See picture)
I had someone else measure it and its about 0.4318 mm or .017 inch.

I'm just afraid that this will throw off the balance, and i might will loose my chopper. It just does not feel or look right.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks,
Ed

This is my second heli, Rap 30 R2 was my first(love it) and it does not have any slop even after muiltple crashes and multiple rebuilds.

If all the parts are correct and all are there and installed correctly, you shouldn't have any play. If you can't resolve it, you could try putting another small spacer on either side of the head between the dampeners and the grips.

There are 2 spaces between the grip and the hub. Are you sure you didn't forget the small one? Also there are more delivered in your kit. You can always use more then those 2.

That small gap won't throw your head out of balance. When spinning the blades will find their centerpoint.
