I recently have had THREE (3) mechanical failures associated with the tail mechanism on my QJ8. :bomb:

In one of them, the bearing on the pitch slider tube "exploded" - came apart in flight.

In two other failures, either the ball came OUT of the brass cup in the tail pitch arm or the screw holding the tail pitch arm came out of the mounting bracket. All of the screws and the connections have been carefully checked before EACH flight (because of the problems there) but it seems to happen anyway.

Head speed is 1900 and below.

I have seen on the Japan QJ site (translated by Google) descriptions of the bearing that let go - pictures looking JUST like mine - and other claims of failures of the pitch pivot arm....

I am wondering if anyone else has had these sorts of mechanical failures - and what they have done about it.

when i had my quik i noticed the same sitution and remedy it by adding an O-Ring to the side where the ball pops out and then adjust your tail pitch travel so you dont bind. that heli looked nice but was a handful to maintain,i sold it QUIK.
