Default 2S Packs in 450?

Just picked up a 450 bnf and have a couple SkyLipo 2200 MaH 3s packs (40c) and a few more 2s packs from before I converted my rock crawler to 3s. For VERY basic hovering and getting the feel of it I am assuming it is safe to use the 2s packs (obviously not going to fry the esc with a lower rate battery) unless yall have something out of wide left field to let me know. The packs are in great condition with only 4-5 cycles through them.

You can try on 2S, but remember your headspeed is going to be low (motor KV is RPM per volt applied) and it will strain the packs.

Edit. You'll need to check if your motor and ESC are rated to run on 2S.

I wouldn't use 2 cell packs in the B450. The motor will run much hotter at the lower speed.

The ESC is not rated for 2S operation.

Thanks for the responses fellas. As it turns out it would have taken some creative leverage to get the longer thinner packs in the canopy. At my level I am able to stretch the smaller 3s's I have long enough to get a bit of learning in. Once again, I appreciate yall sharing info as I wouldnt have ever guessed a lower rating would damage the electronics.
